This sign of the zodiac is ruled by Mercury (the fast-moving, thinking planet). It is said to rule the body's nervous system and particularly the respiratory system. Those born under this sign are often described as 'highly-strung' perhaps because they feel the need to respond immediately to changing conditions - and people. Under stress, their breathing patterns can go out of control: extreme anxiety and chronic nervousness occurs.

The Gemini person needs all the help they can get to stay calm. Too much alcohol or caffeine or other stimulants can push them over the edge. It is common too to find that they dgest food quickly (often on the run) and so need frequent 'toppingup' during the course of the day. Small but frequent meals could be deemed essential.

The cell salt for Gemini is potassium chloride - which helps keep the lungs and bronchial tubes from becoming clogged.

Gemini people also need good quality 'nerve foods' and, with Capricorn (bones and skeleton) ruling the health area of their solar chart, need foods that keep their bones healthy.

Their diets should then include:

  • Cauliflower, celery, carrots, green beans, lettuce, tomatoes, spinach,
