Daily Horoscopes
Tuesday 1st August 2006
The fact that someone close is prevaricating doesn't have to have effect on you. Yet you could be exasperated. You might wonder just why it takes them so long to get ready. Your own interest in history could be aroused: you might even want to replicate a journey. If at work, there's the not so small problem of archiving material that really needs to be addressed before you're devoured by papers.

Wednesday 2nd August 2006
What's going on behind the scenes may be gathering a momentum all of its own - particularly with regard to a training scheme or a long trip - or even a domestic move. You might now have time to visit someone who's been sick or who moved away some time ago. What they tell you 'on the quiet' could cause you to take action to help make one of their dreams come true.

Thursday 3rd August 2006
A deadline may be approaching - but you might not be ready. Whether this is because there's a down-payment to make (for which you're not prepared) or because there are demands for you to make your mind up about a future project, you could feel forced to make a decision before you're really ready. An educational establishment could be involved somewhere along the way.

Friday 4th August 2006
Your expertise may be called into question. You might be asked to sign a petition. The point in all this is that you may need to stand up and be counted. You might also find yourself at odds with someone who appears obsessed with the idea of moving but who hasn't addressed the practicalities. Making this exercise fun could be quite a challenge.

Saturday 5th August 2006
Close friends may want to know what you're really thinking and feeling - and you may not want to tell them for fear of upsetting their day. This is just a little unusual: in the past you might not have paused for breath. It may be that you've already sensed that what you say will have great impact on your emotional and domestic scene. A Cancerian friend's thoughts could be helpful.

Sunday 6th August 2006
A relative's attitude to cash might cause you to frown momentarily. Nothing though is likely to reduce growing excitement that a visit you've always wanted to make is now a real flicker on your horizon. In talking about long-term plans, you might also find that someone who usually seems so staid, is more 'up for' an adventure than you'd have thought and, possibly, willing to help get it underway.

Monday 7th August 2006
You may be faced with a decision that revolves around a place of education and possibly, your qualifications. It might also be that someone needs your name on a petition. In short, you could be called to account. Another possibility is that a close relationship will move on to a place where plain speaking (especially where finances are involved) is absolutely essential.

Tuesday 8th August 2006
Revitalising things - including relationships - could dominate. You may have been incubating an idea for some time. It could be your interest in the past that resurfaces. Another possibility is being struck by someone's adherence to a code of living that's not for you but which you respect. News from someone close is likely to give you both something to think about - essentially whether they should accept an offer or not.

Wednesday 9th August 2006
Preparations for an imminent trip could take longer than planned - and probably because you're side-tracked by neighbours who have important news. Enthusiasm for a project you're anxious to get your teeth into might mean you're not listening carefully to what they have to say either: creating a little tension between you and someone close.

Thursday 10th August 2006
Disruption in personal space could be a by-product of travelling. It's as likely that there's a degree of chaos going on in your thinking - possibly because you've been presented with a puzzle that's not supposed to be solved quickly. In a place of great peace (where once there may have been sadness) your imagination could go into over-drive.

Friday 11th August 2006
Even someone who thinks they know you really well, could still misread your thoughts. Perhaps because you're away from home-base or because (unusually) you're still digesting information received early in July, and may need to withdraw to consider options. Even so, identification with a new place or with people whom you've just met, could lead you to wonder about training systems and how best information can be gained, passed on or used.

Saturday 12th August 2006
Your very foundations could be shaken. This may have been planned: perhaps you've already uprooted yourself to be on holiday. It might be wise to take extra care whilst travelling or engaged in physical exercise: you could 'happen to an accident' through moving too fast. Another possibility is that a close friend or partner will shake you with an outburst that you perhaps ought to have seen coming.

Sunday 13th August 2006
The need to plan a campaign might lead you to places that have been known for action in the past but which might now best be described as 'sleepy'. You might enjoy anything to do with history. You might also enjoy stretching your limbs though. Trying out a sport (even crazy golf) in this setting could release endorphins and leave you glowing - much to someone's delight.

Monday 14th August 2006
A zany, deviant part of your being may be trying to surface. Though appreciating the effort someone's putting into maintaining a routine and ensuring that you're well cared for (at least physically) you may be craving something out of the ordinary. This could take the form of someone who's a little crazy but who was clearly (once) an expert in their field. This could result in a late night discussion as you learn more about a task you never before considered as being useful or necessary.

Tuesday 15th August 2006
Enthusiasm for a subject may be growing. You could spend the day absorbed in a book. Another possibility is responding to questions asked by a good friend who's now showing interest in one of your pet hobbies - where your knowledge is already considerable. Domestic changes might also require discussion - particularly after news of developments in younger peoples' lives reaches you.

Wednesday 16th August 2006
The value of the connectedness between generations could be brought home to you as you await family news. Maintaining a regular routine might not be easy on any level. Meal-times may be liable to disruption or be more 'al fresco' than you'd like them to be. A big upside of the day may be coming into contact with a real craftsman.

Thursday 17th August 2006
A close friend or partner's ideas could be turning you on big-time. What once seemed 'pie in the sky' may be growing wings. Whilst walking and travelling you could explore this idea further - and even agree that you'll be a companion on a longer trip next year. Your enthusiasm for a training scheme and how you gain and pass on knowledge could grow when you meet someone who wishes they could share your life journey.

Friday 18th August 2006
A partner's or close friend's news could throw you off-course. Your joint financial affairs could be affected. On the upside, there could be signs of progress. On the down-side, you may be required to place a large deposit or in some other way shoulder initial costs. All this could give you something to worry about: voicing those fears might not be at all easy.

Saturday 19th August 2006
A relative might suggest visiting a place you've only read about. You might be amused by their sudden interest - though you may share their curiosity. You might need to be the one in the driving seat however. A journey could prove action-packed. Even initial planning could be the subject of much debate. Plans for domestic change are still likely to be high on the agenda.

Sunday 20th August 2006
The urge to put pen to paper may be growing. You might be ready for the challenge of learning. Possibly prompted by a friend's enquiries, you too could have increased interest in the history of a place. Understanding a language or accent could be an impediment though. However, your gift to read between the lines and to hear what someone isn't saying could pave the way to acquiring knowledge others miss.

Monday 21st August 2006
True, you could be over-faced by how much there is to do - and within such a short space of time. Support could come from a Taurus or Libra. Their approaches may differ but both might understand what you're trying to achieve. Whilst reminiscing, you could remember a phrase that almost haunts you (a piece of music) and which might now be the inspiration you need.

Tuesday 22nd August 2006
Your imagination could run wild. If driving, you could move too fast and come up against a speed check. Keeping your mind on the task in hand could be a problem. Yet you may be so enthused at possibilities that you perhaps can't wait to get to a place where you can really get started. Interest in history could be revived (again!) but this time might be linked to a recipe, food or drink.

Wednesday 23rd August 2006
Today's New Moon could act as a booster rocket: you might suddenly decide you have a 'mission'. Firmly tuned in to the need to have knowledge and to pass it on to subsequent generations, you could take action. At a quite different level, what you say could impact on someone who's about to start a training course and, through you, gains a sense of why they want to follow this course of action and their ultimate goal.

Thursday 24th August 2006
News, mail and telephone messages could bring promising work-related news. A changed structure could work to your benefit. (This could follow on one of your suggestions). Domestic changes could please you too - mainly because obstacles are being removed and arrangements made to smooth day to day organisation (and cleaning!).

Friday 25th August 2006
You may feel compelled to put 'keys in backs'. Allowing others to think that an idea is theirs might prove the best way to avoid a confrontation. Plans to move items from one place to another might need to be made: with you doing the bulk of the carrying! Contact with friends passing through and, quite separately, with a Taurus who's been working on a project with you, seem likely and could result in the start of next week being extra busy.

Saturday 26th August 2006
Directions could be an issue: there might be a problem telling people which way you want to go - or with finding a cost-effective way of reaching a destination. You might also be involved in making a touch call. In all cases, your ability to work logically - and fairly - through the issues could be put to the test (which no doubt you'll pass with flying colours). In all this, others might lose sight of the fact that you too are affected and not quite as cool, calm and collected as you appear.

Sunday 27th August 2006
You may have been left at a loss for words. Music is unlikely to be a problem though: you probably know exactly what you want to hear - and by whom. Contact with someone who lives long-distance might take the wind from your sails when they profess less enthusiasm (possibly because they're not well) than you'd have hoped. At a different level entirely, you could say good-bye to an item or friend who's now moving away.

Monday 28th August 2006
It may not have occurred (even to someone close) that there are limits to your loyalty. Whether in dispute with a faceless corporation or enraged that someone's been economical with the truth - you may feel it necessary to wield a sword of truth. This theme could play again and again. It might also bring you up against a language barrier. You might then be grateful to a Leo who's willing to act as referee.

Tuesday 29th August 2006
A team might now be forming. Though still exasperated by someone's apparent inefficiency, you may feel that at least everyone is now focused on what needs to be done. Your input might be deemed essential at a planning meeting. Arrangements to move items at the weekend could cause you a minor headache. You might have reason to be grateful to a Pisces who's willing to help smooth your path.

Wednesday 30th August 2006
You could get all steamed up. Yet full responsibility might not stop at your door (though you could be implicated as you're part of a group). You could ask some tough questions and hope that a certain person will accept some of the blame if things go wrong. You might also be preparing for a sea change at work. A project that's been in the planning stages for a couple of years may now be on the launch pad. Though not your scene, now may be the time to make lists of what still needs to be done.

Thursday 31st August 2006
It's probable that you now have a lot to say. Your advice could be welcomed and help someone keep on track. Sure, you may still be counting pennies and reminding a few people of costs they've overlooked. You might also be ready to present an idea you've been toying with for some time. This might mean working in close collaboration with someone you've admired for some time. They may need time to consider your plan. The art for you will be in not thinking this means that their considered response will be negative.

Weekly Horoscopes
Week Beginning Sunday 6th August 2006
With the Sun and Saturn meeting in that area of your chart associated with travel, it could be that you're contemplating a difficult long journey or a short one that will be demanding. On Monday too you may have to be the voice of authority and give a judgement that's not easy - and which might have to be reviewed again in a few months. Demanding as all this may be, excitement at developments elsewhere could result in you spending much of Tuesday planning. However, tension in even the closest of relationships is probable midweek when it becomes clear that other colleagues respond to very different tempos and schedules, so that tasks that could have been concluded in early July are now creating difficulties. It would be entirely understandable if you were to feel exhausted on Friday! By then though, your view (literal and metaphorical) could be quite different - which might lead to you making a suggestion that has just a hint of genius and endows you with the status of 'problem-solver of the month'.

Week Beginning Sunday 13th August 2006
With the Sun, Mercury and Venus together moving through the 'long journeys' zone of your solar chart, this could be the optimum week for a holiday. Even if physically still at home base, your thoughts are likely to be miles away, spurred, on Monday by the desire to change the tempo of day to day existence. A fabulous novel could put a spring in your step. It's as likely that a friend or colleague who's known to be a bit of a dreamer will light your fire on Monday, putting forward an idea that strikes just the right chord. By Thursday a plan may even have advanced off the drawing board. You might both by talking of working from a different place and/or adopting a new schedule. The nuts and bolts might prove easy to put into place that day too. Even so, you might still need to effect some arm-twisting on Friday when it becomes clear that the actual costs involved could initially be high.

Week Beginning Sunday 20th August 2006
Monday might not be the easiest of days: on the one hand you might not be sure what someone's thinking and on the other you too may not be sure exactly what you want to do - or why. Accessing your inner voice is likely to require peace and quiet. It might also be that you need to work through some thoughts before a way forward is found. By Tuesday though not only might you have rediscovered your direction, you could also be encouraged by someone very close. Between the two of you - and with few words actually spoken, you could determine on a course of action mid-week that excites you. Wednesday's New Moon takes place at the top of your solar chart. It's quite possible that you'll identify a new goal and that before the weekend you'll have taken the first steps toward its realisation. Though Thursday's news might require that you play a greater role in an event than you'd ideally like, by Friday you could be balancing books and ensuring that there will still be time for you to 'do your own thing'.

Week Beginning Sunday 27th August 2006
Three cycles reach interesting phases this week. One seems most likely to affect your local environment (and possibly home and family): and could provide a lively diversion. It might even be cause for celebration. The second aspect has been hanging in the air for some months and though it could have great effect at the end of this busy week, is likely to affect you for some months yet. Essentially, this one is about your expertise and how best to cultivate it. This could give rise to thoughts about training courses. If you are a teacher, then how you pass on knowledge could be called into question. As a student, your preoccupation may be about whether or not you've chosen the right course. It's the third cycle that could have most marked effect however. Clues may be placed on Monday when someone's talk about the future could alert you to changes they've been formulating. These could affect your goals and, on Friday, you may decide the time's right to announce a plan of your own.

Weekend (Love) Horoscopes
The Weekend of Friday 4th August 2006
As they say: 'as one door closes, another opens'. This might be as true about relationships as it is about tasks. It seems likely that over the next month the pace around you will change. That could be because someone's job prospects have changed. It's as likely that this is linked to family developments. You might then spend some of this weekend acknowledging the end of an era. There could be so many variations to this theme: you may be the one asked to give a speech to mark the moment. By Sunday the emphasis is set to shift to the future. You may be taken by surprise by an announcement you never imagined would take place. In all this, it's the support of old friends that matters rather more than pushing a new romantic boat out.

The Weekend of Friday 11th August 2006
This could prove a rather special few days. Three 'cosmic' events occur: the first concerns Mercury which at last returns to a position held in late June. It may be that you and someone close need to go back through events that have taken place since then and to go over your different - and collective - reaction. Ironing out these issues might be confusing when the second aspect strikes on Friday - and when you might both feel lost and unsure what to say. Over Saturday though you may be the one to take the initiative and to suggest accepting short-term loss for a longer term gain in the interest of your joint happiness. Sparks could fly (if you're in partnership or not) as soon as you accept that a change of direction is inevitable- but- that you could have fun sharing this adventure.

The Weekend of Friday 18th August 2006
It might be helpful to remind you of what's happening in the sky: Uranus is in a sign favoured by Neptune and vice versa. This situation is known as 'mutual reception' and also applies presently to Jupiter (your ruling planet) to Pluto. Confusing? Well, that could sum up the next few days too. Though there's plenty of upside, you might have moments of feeling decidedly out of sorts. On Friday you might not welcome others intruding into your thoughts preferring instead to say little but, possibly, to indulge in passionate action. The wind could be taken out of your sails by a plan that's thrust upon you on Saturday resulting in it being Sunday - and even the middle of next week before you feel on safer emotional ground. None of this means that others won't find you attractive: indeed, that could be part of the problem with you left wondering why others are acting as they are and confused about your own reactions in the process.

The Weekend of Friday 25th August 2006
Your efficiency could be put to the test on Friday. Yet you probably know that you need to get certain tasks out of the way before you can 'go out to play'. You could, however, be spoilt for social choice though a family (or generation) theme could play most strongly. On Saturday you're likely to be reminded of ties from the past: followed almost immediately by the desire not to repeat certain patterns of behaviour. Goodwill could be stretched. The more formal events are on Saturday the more you're likely to enjoy testing their boundaries - though you might be intrigued by someone who's clearly willing to take responsibility. Sunday promises to be very different. It's then that you're most likely to relax and to allow your imagination to once again take flight. If Saturday's romantic activities were of the classic variety, Sunday's promise to be much more fluid and easy - as though they were in jazz style. Indeed, in an easy-going music setting you could enjoy time with someone where neither of you says very much at all.

Monthly Horoscope
The Month of August 2006
The financial key to August for you may be around Full Moon (9th) when, though figures might not be altogether clear, there's a sense that a partner's affairs are now moving in the way you've both hoped for for so long. It might also be that money owed finally arrives and that an investment gives signs of paying off. Before then the situation appears tough. Until 7th you may feel cash-strapped even to the point of raiding reserves or flexing a credit card to balance the books. Financial banana skins might be obvious around 11th and again around 21st when it's unclear what you're paying for in terms of goods or services. That situation should change soon after 23rd though when not only might you be in the mood to check small print, it might also be apparent that you really have been short-changed and can recoup some costs. All this could result in a little influx of extra cash around 28th/29th - hopefully enough to offset rising costs (oil prices/ interest rates?) on 31st.
